MLP: Hexapede :swap:

Hexapede was made for the Extra-terrestrial swap. She is based on the Hexapede from Avatar. I saw a picture of these guys while researching and fell in love with the ear fin thingys. I airbrushed her blue and then handpainted the white stripes. I then painted over the stripes with glow-in-the-dark paint (which I forgot to get pictures of).

Her fins were made with the wire I normally use for wings and saran wrap. I painted the inside of the wrap and then folded it over the wire. It took me a while to get it to sit right - halfway through I almost trashed the whole thing, I was so frustrated - but I love how they turned out in the end!
